Osopure is built around one named meat at the top of every label, with no grain in any of its eight recipes. The three kibbles are close to identical on paper: 24% protein, 14% fat, 5.5% fiber and 40.5% estimated starch as fed. Each one lists turkey, salmon or duck, then that meat's meal, then garbanzo beans, peas and lentils. Calories run from 328 to 338 kcal per cup, and all three are labeled for adult dogs.
The five wet foods are just as uniform, at 8% protein and 82% moisture, with fat from 4% to 6%. The proteins on offer are lamb, duck, chicken, beef, and turkey with salmon. Every can lists dried egg product, and all but the Chicken Formula use fish broth.
Compared with the catalog, the kibbles show less protein (24% vs 26.9%), more estimated starch (40.5% vs 37.4%) and fewer calories (334 vs 395 kcal on average). The wet foods are close to the 8.3% protein average for wet food. The trade-off is sameness: switching recipes changes the meat but not the numbers, and peas or lentils appear in every recipe.

WORTH KNOWING
Every Osopure recipe contains peas or lentils, and the kibbles list garbanzo beans, peas and lentils right after the meat and meat meal.
The wet recipes list more than their named meat. All five include dried egg product, the Duck Formula also lists chicken, and most use fish broth along with oceanfish or salmon.
The kibbles' 40.5% estimated starch is above the 37.4% catalog average for kibble.
All figures as fed, from the guaranteed analysis on each label. Starch is our estimate, since no bag prints it. Highest in the line is marked in bold, lowest in italics.
This is the only Osopure kibble with turkey, and it lists turkey and turkey meal ahead of garbanzo beans, peas and lentils. At 328 kcal per cup and 3,511 kcal per kg it is the least calorie dense of the three kibbles, and it is labeled for adult dogs.
Salmon & Garbanzo Bean is the only fish kibble in Osopure, and its label starts with salmon and salmon meal. At 338 kcal per cup and 3,609 kcal per kg it is the most calorie dense of the three kibbles, which suits owners who prefer fish for an adult dog.
The Duck & Garbanzo Beans kibble is the only dry Osopure recipe with duck, and it lists duck and duck meal first. At 335 kcal per cup it falls between its turkey and salmon line mates, which suits owners of adult dogs who want a duck kibble.
All figures as fed, from the guaranteed analysis on each label. Wet food is mostly water, so compare it with other wet food only. Highest in the line is marked in bold, lowest in italics.
The Lamb Formula is the only Osopure wet food with lamb, and its 6% fat is the highest of the five cans. Its label opens with lamb, fish broth, water, oceanfish and dried egg product, which suits owners who want a lamb-led wet meal.
This is the only Osopure wet food with duck, and chicken appears fifth on its ingredient list, after dried egg product. It suits owners who want duck in a can and don't mind chicken in the same recipe.
The Chicken Formula has the lowest calorie density in the line at 1,096 kcal per kg, and it is the only wet recipe here made with chicken broth instead of fish broth. It suits owners who want a chicken-led can with less energy per kg.
The Beef Formula is the only Osopure wet food with beef, and its label opens with beef, fish broth, water, dried egg product and oceanfish. At 401 kcal per can and 1,179 kcal per kg, it suits owners who want beef among the wet recipes.

Yes. All three Osopure kibbles and all five wet foods are grain free. Every recipe does contain peas or lentils, and the kibbles also list garbanzo beans.
Which Osopure recipe has the most protein?
Within each format, protein doesn't change. All three kibbles, including the Salmon & Garbanzo Bean and the Duck & Garbanzo Beans, show 24% protein, and all five wet foods show 8%. The wet recipes are 82% moisture, so their figures can't be compared directly with the kibbles.
Does Artemis Osopure contain chicken?
Two of the wet recipes list chicken: the Grain Free Chicken Formula and the Grain Free Duck Formula. The kibbles are made with turkey, salmon or duck, and the Lamb, Beef and Turkey & Salmon wet recipes don't list chicken.
Our log holds FDA dog food recall notices from 2012 on, so this is not a guarantee that Artemis has never had one.
