Tribal Pet Foods adds beef and venison and chicken recipes to its wet sausage range

UK brand Tribal Pet Foods has launched Fresh Beef and Fresh Venison & Chicken sausages, bringing its gourmet wet range to six flavors.

What happened

Tribal Pet Foods, a British dog food company, has added two flavors to its gourmet sausage line of wet dog food: Fresh Beef and Fresh Venison & Chicken. Pet Business World reported the launch on September 8, 2026, and said the range now has six flavors.

The company said the products would be sold through UK pet specialty retailers. One of them, Pets Corner, already lists the beef recipe with a 300g size at £4.19. Pet Business World gave prices of £4.19 for 300g and £6.79 for 750g. We found nothing showing the line is sold in the United States, so US availability is unclear.

What is in the new recipes

The Pets Corner listing gives the beef recipe's composition as: "Beef 80% (meat and organs), carrots 4%, milled chickpeas 4%, minerals, linseed oil 0.1%." The same page lists crude protein at 12.9%, crude fat at 8.6%, moisture at 71.7% and about 143 kcal per 100g.

According to the trade report, the Venison & Chicken recipe has 50% chicken meat and organs and 30% venison, plus carrots, milled chickpeas, minerals and linseed oil. We did not find a full retailer label for this recipe with its percentages and nutrient figures.

The brand describes both recipes as grain free and hypoallergenic, made with five ingredients or fewer, using fresh human-grade meat and gentle steam cooking. Those are the company's own descriptions. Founder Fatima Maktari was quoted as saying: "Dog owners are increasingly looking for human-grade quality meals for their pets that are highly nutritious, evolved and delicious."

What it means if you feed Tribal

Tribal sells these sausages as complete meals, not toppers. Pets Corner says the beef recipe suits puppies, adults and seniors, and can be fed alone or alongside dry food. Its feeding guide runs from about 150g a day for small adult dogs up to 1,860g a day for a 40kg adult, so a large dog needs a lot of sausage.

The beef recipe uses carrots and chickpeas. The older chicken recipe, going by retailer listings, uses chickpeas and parsnips. If you switch between flavors, the vegetables and fat levels differ, so go slowly if your dog has a sensitive stomach.

What to check on the label

Read the composition panel, not just the flavor name. The Venison & Chicken recipe is mostly chicken by the brand's own figures, with less venison than chicken. That matters if you picked it to avoid chicken or because you want a single-protein food.

Check that the pack says it is a complete food for your dog's life stage, and compare the calories per 100g with what you feed now. Wet food is mostly water, so a dog's daily portion can be much larger by weight than with kibble. We do not review Tribal Pet Foods yet.
